Lansdowne is one of the quietest and unspoilt hill stations of India and has been a popular destination since Britishers came to India. It is situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state.
